Crafted from Silver-plated material, this holy icon of the Mary Mother of Mercy, also known as "The God Loving", is hand painted and modeled after the XVII century original. The metal cover (riza) offers mirror-like protection with a smooth surface of .999 sterling.ng silver.

Beautiful icon of Mother of Mercy. The icon features metal hook for hanging.

We call Mary Mother of Mercy because she is the mother of God who is Divine Mercy, and as our mother, she obtains God's mercy for us through her intercession. The icon of Mary, Mother of Mercy was painted probably in Vilnius in the period between 1620-1630. Despite numerous investigations, the painter remains unknown. Currently the icon is located in the chapel of Mary Mater Misericordia in Vilnius Lithuania.
