The Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, is one of the most important figures of the Christian Faith and Hymnology and the Church honors her with many praises and feasts. Her name is followed by many nicknames depending on her theological quality, the place where the image was found or her appearance and they are worshiped with special honor.
In Hagiography the Virgin Mary is represented autonomously or with the Divine Infant while there are many styles with which each image is created.
